Are East Asian cosmetics really much different to their Western counterparts?

East Asian cosmetics have a long history and deep heritage that makes them quite distinct from Western cosmetics. You can learn more about their relative benefits here.

I’ve heard about the “10-step Korean skincare regime”, will I have to follow this routine if I purchase these products?

You will be pleased to hear that there is no such thing as the “10-step Korean skincare regime” – East Asian women share a skincare philosophy centered around TLC, high-quality tailored products and layering, but there is no obligation to follow a daily regimented skincare process. Don’t believe us? Read more about their unique skincare philosophy here.

Where can I find the expiration date of the product I have purchased?

Korean products are traditionally labeled with a manufacturing date – however many brands and products are labeled with the expiry date instead. As such, we recommend always checking the product labelling before use.

Products typically have a shelf-life of two to three years (depending on each individual product and brand).

Where are your products sourced from?

The Silk Rose works directly with our partner brands. We do not resell products from any unverified 3rd party sources. We believe this is critical in order for us to provide our customers with authentic, recently manufactured products.
